{"id":3037,"date":"2015-01-15T16:02:19","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T16:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/martinblack.com\/?p=3037"},"modified":"2015-01-17T09:28:35","modified_gmt":"2015-01-17T09:28:35","slug":"wild-camping-and-hiking-plans-for-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/martinblack.com\/oldsite\/2015\/01\/wild-camping-and-hiking-plans-for-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Wild Camping and Hiking plans for 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t get out as much in 2014 as I would have liked, I only manged two wild camps and didn&#8217;t manage to complete any of my\u00a0<a title=\"Expeditions\" href=\"http:\/\/martinblack.com\/expeditions\/\">grand expeditions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3086\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3086\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3086 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/martinblack.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1.-Bramfield2.jpg\" alt=\"Bramfield woods\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/martinblack.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1.-Bramfield2.jpg 480w, https:\/\/martinblack.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1.-Bramfield2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3086\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bramfield Wood<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This year will be different. \u00a0I will wild camp much more and will most definitely complete at least one expedition, probably the <a title=\"The Grand Norfolk Hike \u2013 introduction\" href=\"http:\/\/martinblack.com\/2011\/12\/the-grand-norfolk-hike-introduction-2\/\">Grand Norfolk hike<\/a>. \u00a0I also want to get up into the hills this year. \u00a0The Peaks, Lakes, Scotland, any of those will do just fine.<\/p>\n<p>2015 will see at least one night hiking adventure, I&#8217;ve a great idea for a moonlit walk along the River Little Ouse, through the woods, wow, that will be good!<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and more hiking and camping with other people. \u00a0Solo is great but it&#8217;s always a pleasure to share the enjoyment with others.<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;ll continue taking my dog, Smithy, along with me. \u00a0I really enjoy his unbridled enthusiasm for a good day&#8217;s hiking.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3119\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3119\" style=\"width: 476px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3119\" src=\"http:\/\/martinblack.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/smithy-looking-compressor.png\" alt=\"Smithy on the trail\" width=\"476\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/martinblack.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/smithy-looking-compressor.png 476w, https:\/\/martinblack.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/smithy-looking-compressor-300x177.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 476px) 100vw, 476px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3119\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Smithy on the trail<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2015 I will also take up wild swimming. \u00a0My pal, John, is writing a book,\u00a0&#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildswimspain.co.uk\/\">Wild Swimming Spain<\/a>&#8216; and\u00a0we&#8217;re planning\u00a0a few joint wild camp\/swim adventures. \u00a0That should be fun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What about you?
